Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

OLQ keeps things simple. We only process:

  • The text you type (your questions and chat messages).
  • Images you attach (for example a photo of a problem).
  • Study content you generate (saved questions, notes, quizzes, flashcards, tests).
  • Basic preferences such as your light/dark theme setting.

2. How it's used

Your text and images are used only to answer your questions and generate your study aids. Your saved items (notes, quizzes, flashcards, tests, saved questions) are stored so you can reopen them later. They stay on your device or in our local storage.

3. AI providers

To generate answers, we send your prompt (and any attached image) to external AI providers (for example Google Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, NVIDIA and others). We chose providers that meet our privacy expectations. Those providers process your content under their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them if you want more detail.

4. What we do NOT do

  • We don't sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers.
  • We don't require an account or collect your name, email, or phone number.
  • We don't run intrusive ads or track you across other websites.
  • We don't store the answers from the AI on any external server beyond what is needed to run the app.

5. Storage & retention

Your chat history and saved study content are kept on your device and in the app's local storage so the app works offline and remembers your stuff. You can delete any chat, note, quiz, flashcard deck, or test at any time using the app's delete controls.

6. Children's privacy

OLQ does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the app does not ask for names, emails, or accounts, there is no personal information to collect. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will delete it.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your content while it's in transit and at rest. No internet service can be 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices & rights

You control your data. You can delete any of your content at any time, and you can stop using the app whenever you like. If you need help deleting data, use the app's support channel.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected here, and continued use of the app means you accept them.
